Goats Cheese Panna Cotta with Balsamic Roasted Golden Beetroot, Pickled Candy Stripe Beetroot and a Honey, Lime & Hazelnut Crumb
A couple of weeks ago we went to the new Field Grill House in Stockbridge, Edinburgh and I had an awesome goats cheese panna cotta starter which is the basis of the inspiration for this dish (you can read my review of our meal here).
There is quite a few elements to this dish which makes it look really complicated and fancy but it is so simple to make if you set a little time to the side one Saturday and invite some friends over to wow them. All of the elements can be made well in advance and kept to the side as this is a cold eating starter.
Golden & Candy Stripe Beetroot are heritage varieties that are not available all year round in UK, you can buy them at this time of year from M&S. The dish would still look stunning and taste delicious with standard beetroot too.
